Hi! I am Toshiko. Welcome and thank you for visiting my page! I’m a tour guide in Tokyo. I like meeting people and showing them around Tokyo. When I went to university in Japan, I got a scholarship to study abroad for a year at an American college. After graduating from a Japanese university, I worked for a company that deals with study-abroad programs and had many opportunities to go abroad to take care of students. It was a fun experience to go abroad and meet new people.
I came to think that I want to learn more about Japan because when I was abroad, I sometimes had trouble answering questions about Japan. These questions were things that were so obvious to me that I never thought about them. However, I have come to realize that such questions are actually what people overseas want to know. With this in mind, I have been reviewing Japan and guiding many people from overseas.
I would like to share my experience and knowledge with you. I would like to make your trip very special and memorable. I would be honored to be part of your trip. I look forward to meeting you.

If you are a first-time visitor to Japan, this tour is for you. I will briefly explain Japan’s history and show you both modern and old Tokyo. I especially like doing this tour because I could tell you some historical background that might not be known if you visited the sites yourself.
I like history, especially when Edo, former Tokyo, became the political center of Japan during the 17th to 19th centuries. That period was the foundation of today’s Tokyo. I am sure you will better understand this metropolis at the end of my tour.

- – Asakusa: Tokyo’s oldest Buddhist temple, Senso-ji, and its approach, Nakamise Street, with many small shops

- – Meiji Shrine: Shinto shrine dedicated to Emperor Meiji 16:30 The tour ends in Harajuku.
